Specialized Expertise
Addressing Our Clients' Special Needs

We know that providing individual care requires meeting individual needs—health, family, cultural, religious, and dietary. Our unique approach to addressing these needs with specialized services and home health care education has helped to make us a leader in the field of geriatric care. Freedom Eldercare consistently trains and employs specialists in a number of disciplines including:

  • Disease Management — For us, a commitment to quality health care includes researching medical advancements and training our staff in the latest disease management techniques. Freedom Eldercare employees are trained to assist elderly clients with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, depression, cancer, cardiac conditions, orthopedic and other health challenges. • Long-Distance Caregiving — We understand how difficult it is to care for an aging loved one when you are in the same town, let alone thousands of miles away. That is why we offer specialized long-distance caregiving support. This support includes serving as a surrogate presence for monitoring and supervision, ongoing support, crisis intervention, and daily or weekly reports.
  • Dietary Considerations — We understand that diet plays an important role in health, spirituality and ethnic identity. Our caregivers are trained in nutrition and sensitive to the needs of those with dietary preferences, including diabetic and kosher requirements.
  • Cultural — Many of our caregivers have received specialized cultural home health care training to support our caregivers in understanding and respecting the needs, customs and traditions of the Jewish home and family.

We believe well informed in-home caregivers offer superior care. That is why we require our employees to attend in-service home health care education programs. These home health care training programs address many of the common issues our caregivers face. We feel that educating our employees prepares them to better care for our elderly clients. Our annual in-service home health care education programs address:

  • Back Care and Safety
  • Complaint Management
  • Disaster Training
  • Diversity Training
  • Domestic Violence
  • Abuse of the Elderly
  • Fire Safety
  • OASHA Compliance
  • Performance Improvement
  • Workplace Safety
