CHHA & CNA Class Schedule
Freedom Eldercare offers Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide training courses at their office in Hackensack, NJ. The course includes the standard 60 hours of training required of all unlicensed assistive personnel, as well as the 16 hours of home health and hospice training required to work in the home care setting. Training will include topics such as communication, teamwork, caring for the client in the home setting, review of all body systems (skeleton, heart, lungs, stomach, nerves, muscle and brain), the aging client, safety, infection control as well as disease specific topics such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and many others. The course will include classroom training as well as hands-on training in a clinical lab setting. Evening and weekend classes may be available from time to time. Individuals with a valid NJ Nurse Aide Certification (CNA) can obtain an additional certification as a Home Health Aide by passing a skills evaluation and successfully completing the 10-hour Home Care Module. View additional information.
